We’ve now fully developed our electrifying Pedal powered cinema allowing us to take a sustainable cinematic experience to any location. We kicked off at the hugely successful save the Herne Hill Velodrome night, with 500 or so people in the audience, not forgetting the ones who sat on their bike and pedaled for the duration!
The Pedal powered cinema is a partnership between Electric Pedals and our local Free Film Festival community group. The proceeds from the People powered cinema go towards promoting free films in neighbourhood venues around south east London.
It’s a great way to bring communities together, especially when they have to pedal to keep the film going!
Our Pedal powered cinema needs around 12 adults and children to power a large projector, sound equipment and DVD player. We arrive with no stored energy, we don’t use pre-charged batteries, so the it’s is completely reliant on human energy.
Please get in touch if you’re interested in having the Pedal powered cinema in your local community or at an event.
